Created in Christ Jesus for Good Works

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Eph 2:8-10).

Grace Church is a Free Grace Church. We stand firm upon the truth of Ephesians 2:8-9, that justification before God and eternal life in Christ is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Our works, before, during, or after the moment we place faith in Christ play no part whatsoever in our justification.

But God saved us for a purpose. When He saved us individually, He made us part of the Body of Christ. He gave us each diverse spiritual gifts, making us each necessary and valuable to the whole. He saved us to give us a powerful union with each other in Christ, held together and empowered by the very life of God. That means that together we have everything we need to make a real difference in this world. We were saved by grace through faith. We were saved FOR good works.
