Our Values

Mission Statement

To build up one another in love and to be the outworking of Christ's body in the community and in the world

Core Ministry Values

Clear, Sound, Biblical Teaching

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Tim 3:16-17).
The Bible has the answers we need and it was given to us to be understood. Grace Bible Church teaches the Bible without all the man-made confusion so that every believer can understand what God means by what He says.

Free Grace

Jesus Christ died to pay the full price for our sins and eternal life is a free gift given to anyone and everyone who believes in Jesus. We believe this thoroughly. We are not ashamed of the gospel and we will teach and live this truth without reservation or apology.

Practical Spirituality

Christians are not called to a changed life, but to an exchanged life. Christ in us becomes for us everything we need for life and godliness. Through faith, Christ becomes for us the strength, the love, the joy, the peace, the humility and the holiness we need to live everyday in a fallen world. This truth is not merely academic, but real, practical and sufficient for all of our needs.

Every part does its share

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ--from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Eph 4:11-17)
Every believer in Christ has been gifted by the Holy Spirit to serve in the Church. At Grace Bible Church, every member is expected to serve actively in the church and is given opportunity to do so.

Active in the Community

Grace Bible Church seeks to share Christ's love in community involvement, through acts of kindness, community programming, and charitable activities.

Kingdom Focused

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb 12:1-2)
Christ will return to rein for a thousand years, those who overcome in Christ will sit with Him on His throne and share in the rule of the only truly righteous government the world has ever known (Rev 3:21). While all believers will go to heaven, not every believer will share in this privilege. We seek Christ daily, rejoicing in trials, growing in holiness, knowing what weight of glory awaits us. "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us" (Rom 8:18).

Come As you Are

We understand that no one is at the same place in their spiritual walk as anyone else, yet all have the same need for Jesus Christ. All who are seeking to know Christ, or to know Him more, and who are not seeking to undermine the church's unity or growth in Christ are welcome.

Dispensational

By the help of the Holy Spirit we set aside our biases and approach the scripture seeking not to mold but to be molded. We understand that the one true interpretation of any Bible passage is the one that the original author(s) intended. As a result, we find a clear distinction between the Church and Israel and we find that God governs men differently in different dispensations. This is the natural outcome of applying correct hermeneutics--literal (both plain and figurative), historical, and grammatical interpretation.

Financial Integrity

The amount of money given to the church by each member will not be known by the church leadership. In addition, the church's overall budget and financial needs will be known to all within the church. We reject the principle of tithing, instead recognizing that one-hundred percent of our money belongs to God and that the Holy Spirit will lead each individual on what to give the church. We also recognize our responsibility to care for church members who are unable to sufficiently provide for themselves financially. Providing for widows and the disabled will always be a higher priority than new facilities.

Christian Liberty

Christ has released the Christian from the curse of the Law, having fulfilled it completely (Eph 2:14f). The Christian is not under the Mosiac Law (2 Cor 3), nor is he under man-made religious laws (Col 2:20f). Christians are accountable to Christ, therefore we should not usurp His role and judge each other (Rom 14:6-13). Our freedom in Christ is not for the purpose of licentiousness but so that, by the spirit, we can fulfill the righteous requirement of the Law--love (Rom 6:14; 8:1-4; 13:8).

Outward Focus

Growth of the local body is a means not an end. The purpose of the church local is to build the Church Universal, and to be the outworking of Christ in the world. Grace Bible Church is outward focused and gladly accepts God's calls to: take the gospel to the world, help the needy, and help the oppressed.

Not Divisive

Grace Bible Church is a part of the Universal Body of Christ. While maintaining local autonomy, we will not separate ourselves from the Universal Body through divisive speech or actions. We are simply a small part of the whole not more important than any other part.

Driven by Love

Nothing we can do has any value if it is not driven, tempered, and seasoned by love (1 Cor 13:1-3).

Sufficient to Prepare Ministers

Grace Bible Church aims to be sufficient to teach people to teach others and to serve in the local body and in the Universal Church.

Prayer Focused

God works His will in the body as it prays according to His will. Biblical prayer seeks to unite the body under God's will and to ask it to be done. No church can be used efficiently for God's purpose without prayer.
